Ok, who really believes those bios that are written in the third person?
"Samantha Cover this, Samantha Cover that..." So, here it goes, in my own words ;-)

I absolutely, positively love love love weddings. I love the dresses, the flowers, the vows (I still catch myself crying at some weddings). I love the flower girls, the ring bearers, the laughter, the tears.....and of course, the cake! In the midst of really good shoots, I look at Brian and say, "Can you believe we get paid to do this?!" I have been shooting weddings full time for about 8 years. According to my clients, very well known photography organizations (such as WPPI) and quite a few magazines, I am pretty darn good at it, too! At least that is how I interpreted their accolades, awards and publishing of my work. As hokey as it sounds, I really do have the best job on earth.

I approach each wedding as if I were shooting a friends wedding. By getting to know each couple during the engagement photo shoot and a couple of meetings, by the time the wedding rolls around, it is my hope that the bride and groom are really comfortable and relaxed around us. The more a couple trusts us, the more creative we can be, which will lead to amazing images. Which leads me to our style...
Think photojournalism meets fine-art meets relaxed portraits. The majority of the day is shot documentary style. We strive to be a fly-on-the-wall (or right in the mix, when needed). Unobtrusively capturing moments that are gone in the blink of an eye. Are we going to do some posed photographs? Of course...but "posed" is not a bad word! Nothing cheesy, just casual, relaxed, yet stylishly arranged photos. And the details.....the amazing details that you spent months (if not years) planning will all be documented.

A Little about me: I am married (to Brian) and have the cutest little boy in the world (and probably one of the most photographed, as well!). I love to travel, be it an action packed trip to Las Vegas, New York or Chicago, or laying on a beach doing absolutely nothing. I like to watch the Food Network (when I have the time), although the best thing I make are Nestle Tollhouse Break and Bake Chocolate Chip Cookies (seriously the best thing since sliced bread....or Diet Coke!).
My favorite thing to do is spend time with my son. I consider myself very fortunate that I am able to work from home, yet go to really amazing parties on the weekends. I really do have the best job in the world!
